A fright

This Sunday we received two serious existential threats: Aerial disappeared at 22.00 after moth hunt in the garden and msn groups issued a warning to this group on the grounds of inactivity. We are happy to announce Aerial came back. He was in no hurry, though. And this group is alive and kicking as well not only online but also offline The contents of this site are now disseminated to local readerships all over Eastern Jutland. Giacometti's acquiring even more friends. There's certainly no stopping him now!

  1. Existential threats?, forget that...I felt the impending direct threat of another dire loss of feline life forced upon me. To understand: Aerial is a sweetheart of a cat. He is dearly loved and relied upon for company and cuddles and his purring is powerful and delightful (I also suffered the loss of his brother not so long ago). Lately however, he has been strongly influenced by the warm sunny weather in usual grim Jutland. He seems now to have momentarily lost sight of his importance and role in the house. He has forgotten all the attention and fussing on offer. Instead the house has been reduced to a 're-fuel' stop, in between the outside pursuits that occupy his attention most of the time. He remains keen to stay out at night much to my dismay, but when it starts raining, blowing, snowing and freezing here (as it is guaranteed to do) I am sure I will have him back infront of the fire and on my lap where he belongs (for at least a little while).

  2. Tanking up behavior is actually a marker of secure attachment so I would focus more on the comings and less on the going aways. But it can be agonizing waiting for a missing feline, not knowing whether it is merely badly lost or lost for good.
