I was recently asked by Mary to give mention of Norsky, a beast with a somewhat ambiguous status in her household. Working under severe time limits, I can herewith only give a mere outline of Norsky, which however, could be augmented on a later occasion: Norsky is a norwegian forest cat, grey and seasoned, who used to belong to the neighbors across the street. But these so called humans stopped taking care of him like a year ago, when they got an offspring. As a result, Norsky became more and more miserable. His auld body shrank, he became increasingly mawkit and smelly because he couldn't clean himself properly, his once big beautiful fur turning into a mess of impenetrable knots. For months on end, he'd been roaming around the house, begging for food and shelter with his piercing gaze and heart rending cries.
For some time now, Mary has been giving him basic care, i.e., food, attention and daily fur maintenance. As a result, Norsky has gained weight and is no longer an excuse for a cat. He's actually quite handsome and cute. Ever since Orlando disappeared, Norsky has become even better integrated and is assuming a greater role in the menage, side by side with Aerial. So, ta all ye dejected creatures out there, don't lose hope, your luck may still change, and sooner than you'd imagine! l
