cat's anatomy

When Lior was a child he used to read "Tarbut", an illustrated encyclopedia from 1960, full of entries from all categories and beautiful hand-made illustrations. last week we found out his mother had accidentally gave it away. Lior was very sad and couldn't rest until he found an old man in Ramat-Gan, who wanted to get rid of his 20 volumes of this ancient piece. it is still fascinating, even though today we have the internet. I've scanned the cat anatomy chapter for all you cat lovers, very important to know your cat also from the inside...

  1. Dear Nili
Thanks for the review, amazing stuff. Thanks to Lior too. I also liked this encyclopedia, we had one of the volumes at home and I used to flick through it and study the nice drawings. We also had a set at school and sometimes I would look through a volume during lessons . One of my friends still chides me for it to this day.

  3. I've just read an article about cats. Scientists have found out that all the cats are very closely related, even more than arabs and jews, and are endowed with the same hunting equipment, though they look so different (from the outside). They found out about it by making measurements of their bones. Big cats like tigers and lions are just "extended" house cats, their anatomy is adjusted to the extra weight they have to carry, being that much bigger. This shouldn't come as a big surprise to us, it's well known that cats are expert serial killers, so much so as to pose a real threat to bio-diversity. They are said to have killed the last bird of a now extinct species in the Galapagos Islands. Needless to say, Giacomettisfriends does not endorse the genocide of any species on this earth!
