Little cat

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
I promised Joel a little cat poem.
The poem is written by Kumbel - a danish poet, aka Piet Hein.

Many thanks to mamush Ulla and her old books:

Little cat,
little cat,
itsy-bitsy feline,
whose are you,
whose are you,
I'm but
me mine.

for my cat & poem lovers
"A poem is a thing
that i decide is a poem
after I write it
as a poem or nopoem
but publish it as a poem
now decide again what's a poem."

David Avidan

I start thinking he was a snob for a reason.

cat's anatomy

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
When Lior was a child he used to read "Tarbut", an illustrated encyclopedia from 1960, full of entries from all categories and beautiful hand-made illustrations. last week we found out his mother had accidentally gave it away. Lior was very sad and couldn't rest until he found an old man in Ramat-Gan, who wanted to get rid of his 20 volumes of this ancient piece. it is still fascinating, even though today we have the internet. I've scanned the cat anatomy chapter for all you cat lovers, very important to know your cat also from the inside...

This morning

This morning started pretty cool, not more than 4 minus degrees outside. Everything was laced with a thin milky layer of ice. The daybreak had barely begun, the darkness giving reluctantly in, just starting to disperse. The streets were almost completely deserted. A young woman came out the local store pushing a stand on wheels, in preparation for opening time, an hour later. A middle aged man in a shabby blue pilot jacket and a black Eminem hood to his head passed slowly by, taking in the cool air and wondering how the cats manage to keep themselves warm in this arctic weather. After all, they had come from Africa in their time, where they started out as small lions in the bush, before taking over ancient Egypt by instituting cat worship and it's correlate; human serfdom...

Come Sheriyushki !

The great love Shani & I share for our dog Sherri can be gauged by the different names we apportion her:

Last week, while walking with Sherry on the street, we met a young woman with a sweet little dog. The woman said: Come Shushki and I answered : Come Sheriyushki !

Introducing Norsky

I was recently asked by Mary to give mention of Norsky, a beast with a somewhat ambiguous status in her household. Working under severe time limits, I can herewith only give a mere outline of Norsky, which however, could be augmented on a later occasion: Norsky is a norwegian forest cat, grey and seasoned, who used to belong to the neighbors across the street. But these so called humans stopped taking care of him like a year ago, when they got an offspring. As a result, Norsky became more and more miserable. His auld body shrank, he became increasingly mawkit and smelly because he couldn't clean himself properly, his once big beautiful fur turning into a mess of impenetrable knots. For months on end, he'd been roaming around the house, begging for food and shelter with his piercing gaze and heart rending cries.
For some time now, Mary has been giving him basic care, i.e., food, attention and daily fur maintenance. As a result, Norsky has gained weight and is no longer an excuse for a cat. He's actually quite handsome and cute. Ever since Orlando disappeared, Norsky has become even better integrated and is assuming a greater role in the menage, side by side with Aerial. So, ta all ye dejected creatures out there, don't lose hope, your luck may still change, and sooner than you'd imagine!  l

A fright

This Sunday we received two serious existential threats: Aerial disappeared at 22.00 after moth hunt in the garden and msn groups issued a warning to this group on the grounds of inactivity. We are happy to announce Aerial came back. He was in no hurry, though. And this group is alive and kicking as well not only online but also offline The contents of this site are now disseminated to local readerships all over Eastern Jutland. Giacometti's acquiring even more friends. There's certainly no stopping him now!
